My name is Christel van der Boom. I bring decades of experience supporting executives and team members through personal and professional growth, helping them build resilience and stay motivated as they pursue their goals. I’ve mentored people at every level, from CEOs to aspiring managers.

I have held leadership roles in communications and strategy at organizations including Edelman and Flipboard, where I was instrumental in driving company growth, building trust with stakeholders, and developing global initiatives. I’ve been in the room when tough choices were navigated, I’ve been on call to handle a crisis, and I’ve been on the other side of the desk to support a colleague.  

My coaching is informed by Nonviolent Communication (NVC), mediation, mindfulness and Four Quadrant Leadership. To deepen my practice, I’m currently completing training accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) to earn my Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certification. I also hold a Master’s degree in Communications, which shapes my ability to guide leaders in aligning their words and actions with their values.

We’ve all had leaders who lifted us up and leaders who tore us down. The difference?

Empathy, self-awareness and a connection to purpose.
